Default Could I name my daughter...

Hubby and I have been throwing girls names around since before I became pregnant with #2 but nothing has jumped out at us. Boys names are easy. We have agreed both with ds and #2. Girls on the other hand.....
Anyways, our son is Bentley. I jumped on nymbler the other night and found Macy. We both like it but then after a while i realized the whole 'teen mum' association!
After reading a thread on the name Bentley we're already 'bogans' so if we have a girl and name her Macy, that would make us fully fledged bogans......right?!!

Not at all . Bentley and Macy are great names, certainly not on my list of 'bogan' sounding names

I don't know anything about teen mom, but I know a fair bit about bogans and frankly, I thing you are safe. Macy is lovely.

I do know that Macy is Bentley's mum on Teen Mom, but I wouldn't have thought of it until you mentioned it... Not a big deal I think

I think Macy is lovely, DD goes to school with a Macey. Never thought if it as a bogan name, but I don't know the teen mum association.

Before I finished reading your whole post, I immediately thought of 'Teen Mom' but honestly, it wasn't in a bad way, just a curious way as to whether you were a fan of the show too.

So even though I immediately thought of the Teen Mom association, I can think of a lot worse 'associations' then a tv show about teen Mums and don't think its bogan at all.

Yep what everyone else has said. We have MTV and I watch it a fair bit when I'm up feeding dd, but I didn't make the association until just now

Everyone has their own opinion and the only one that really matters when choosing YOUR child's name is your own, I think they are great names, Macy will suit the child of all ages, I like uncommon names over the "normal" names I like that when someone calls my childs name shes the only one who turns around!!! so if you like it GO for it!
