    Yes, we have done it several times. I always explained the situation (ie. that we live interstate and are moving to an area where we have no friends to inspect on our behalf etc). and we had to sign a form when we were approved saying we have applied for the house without a prior inspection at our own risk.

    This is in QLD and WA.

    This is what I'd get prospective tenants to do.

    Attaching a letter to personalise your application is a great idea.
