Some marks do not come of walls and the re agent when we moved in to our current place pointed it out on walls here and said theres not much they can do.

Holes in walls etc is obviously different.
    Sorry if you don't agree.

The OP asked a question and I gave an honest opinion based on my experiences as a landlord.

I don't think I need to justify my point of view. Surely the point of these forums are to to provide info on questions asked by the OP and not to attack someone because you don't agree with a particular response.

To be honest the most we did was to vacuum and mop in the days beforehand and a general tidy up. I never cleaned windows/window tracks etc. We did it all the first time, but he was barely there for 5 mins so we never bothered again. Never had any complaints and we got our full bond back. As we were pretty clean/tidy people we never had to go all out at inspection time as the place was generally clean anyway.

Rainbow - don't worry too much, they're just looking to see you're looking after the place. It doesn't need to be spotless. You're pregnant - I would NOT be cleaning the oven! That can wait, and if you're questioned on it just say you'll do it after bub is born. The only thing we've ever had singled out was weeds in the garden and dust in air con vents (even though we had cleaned them, so I reckon that PM must just always write that without even checking!).

Also, no you do not add bub to the lease - only people 18 yrs or over need to actually be on the lease. However, you should inform them of bub as an additional occupant after the birth. :-)
