    Default Quiet time before bed

What does your quiet time before bed for a baby consist of?

    Reading? Feeding?

Bath, bottle, cuddles and then into the cot where she now puts herself to sleep.

From bath to bed, anywhere from 30mins to an hour. Depends on DD at the time.

Well in our house bath and book are often not very quiet thanks to our 3 year old, so the actual feed is probably the quiet time I guess. It lasts about 10 mins and DS either feeds to sleep or I rock him to sleep once he has finished feeding.

I do the 6 B's at 6 so after dinner - normally 6ish we do bath & into pj's, boob, book, brush teeth, bag (into sleeping bag/tucked in), bed at 7pm.

I've been doing this since DS was about 13months - the actual reading (quiet time) is about 20-30 mins all up.

Our bedtime routine is about 20 minutes long- feed, change into night clothes, pop into sleeping bag, quick book (5 min tops she gets bored and restless), quick cuddle and bed (put on white noise and walk away).
Bath is in arvo don't have time and winds her up.
She can be all excited and worked up but as soon as she's in the bag she realises what's going on and settles great now. I find a shorter routine works for us at this stage. (8.5 months)

After dinner, our routine is bath, get dressed, book/s depending on how tired she is, zipped into swaddle, bottle, then bed. If she's really tired, it's all done in 30 minutes or so, sometimes longer if she stays awake
