Default TTC and no period :(

Hi ladies, I was just wondering if anyone has been in this situation and how long it took them to conceive. I came off the pill in January and since then have had AF twice. I am in day 104 of my supposed cycle and I don't know what to do. My specialist says I have to wait till November before I can consider any medication to help.
Of the drugs I've heard about, is it true they can only assist you with your cycle? Is there drugs to actually help you ovulate when you don't have any sort of cycle at all???

Clomid is often used as a first step for
    People on your
Situation by fertility specialists. You do need a period before you can start, and there is medications that can induce a bleed. I found that acupuncture really helped regulate my
Cycle if that helps at all. You may
Also want to read up on pcos to see if you recognise
Any of the symptoms. Good luck

Hi Crazypuppies sorry to hear the situation you are in, can I ask why your specialist is making you wait until November for treatment? When I came off the pill in sept 2009 I had no af at all for several months so my dctr sent me to see a fs who I saw in the feb of 2010, she then confirmed I had pcos and started treatment with clomid straight away. Unfortunately clomid didn't work for me and I didn't ovulate so had to move onto injections and finally conceived the following sept so it took me a year in total, I am now currently ttc no.2 . To this day I have still not had a natural cycle, my af has to be induced with medication. Have you been diagnosed with PCOS?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I've had an internal ultrasound and they said I had symptoms of pcos, as I have too many follicles (or eggs as the doc put it) but I don't have any other symptoms of pcos though. I've been told that eventually my cycles will start but they don't know when.
I've been doing accupunture now for 6 weeks but I'm not noticing any changes. Thanks for letting me know there is medication to bring on AF, otherwise I've just been feeling lost, waiting for time to pass. I was told to wait till November because the doc thought my cycles would come back normally by then.
(Sorry I don't know all the abbreviations yet)

Crazypuppies I hope your cycle does come back naturally and you don't have to venture down the path of fertility help but if you do I will say good luck and hopefully treatment works quickly for you and you get your bfp soon
