    Default medical receptionist salary?

Does anyone know how much a medical receptionist roughly earns? I've taken a training course to become one (but haven't been employed as one before - I used to be a teacher) and have just seen a job advertised which is part-time (27hrs a week) so DH and I are trying to guess how much I would bring in.

    Thanks!

It really depends on experience and whether you're working for a gp, specialist or in a hospital environment.

It will depend on where you work and your level of responsibility/expertise required (ie is it a GP requiring general skill, or a specialist requiring more medical knowledge?). Probably around $20-$23 an hour? It cld be extremely busy, many calls and walk in patients, or relatively quiet. Good luck

Where I worked they were getting $22.50 an hour. I was shocked!
