Default do you go away for Easter?

well, the long weekend anyway at Easter. We have never gone away cos dh thinks it's rude to as someone in the family does the usual Easter lunch. I don't see the big deal. the lunch is no more different with the same ppl every year.

We don't go away at Easter mainly because it's too busy and expensive. I wouldn't not go simply because family were having lunch though. Go for it!

    We did this year.

As kids we used to as well.

Personally I enjoy it rather than having to travel from one grandparents house to the other.

I have every year since childhood, but we can't anymore due to dh's work commitments.
I don't see Easter as a big family thing like Christmas.

Nope. I think it's a terrible time to go away as so many other people are doing the same. It's peak rates with all accommodation providers, the roads are busy...I'd rather just stay home and go away in the off peak season.

No I'd rather take time off work and go away for another 'long' weekend than go at Easter when everyone seems to head away and it's more expensive. Plus I love the idea of being at home and the kids waking up for their big Easter egg hunt and we usually have a get together/lunch with my extended family.
