Default What will you do differently with your next child?

I will definitely be buying less clothes.... I am on a washing strike at the moment so that my son actually gets to wear all of his clothes. I went through & sorted out his drawers & pulled out things he's grown out of that he's only worn once or twice... I think I could last 3-4 weeks without washing any of his clothes!

Breastfeed more when she's first born. I knew all about feeding on demand but I had myself convinced that if it was only 2 hours since she had last fed then she couldn't possibly be hungry again, so I'd be trying to settle this baby until it had been 3 hours between feeds. I think this definitely affected how much milk I had and set her up to be a snacker, feeding 2 hourly through the day until we introduced formula at 5 months.

Try everything I can to successfully breastfeed. I had a bad experience with a LC when I was having trouble with dd and in hindsight, I should have told her to shove it and find another one that was supportive and helpful.

Not having any more babies but I guess I would listen more to my own intuition than listening to others. My first I sort of went with instinct, my second I went with some of my instinct but I would completely be happy to go with intuition/instinct completely if there was a next time.

My third is 9.5 months old. I have definitely enjoyed her much more as I appreciate how quickly they grow. I actually want her to stay this age (she's not mobile yet ) but I want my older 2 to keep growing

Breastfeed as much as dd wanted even if it was only for comfort. I lost my milk supply and only got to breastfeed for 3 months and I still miss it
Go to see a Dr immediately if something didn't sit right with me and get 2nd opinions... Dd was diagnosed by ped with reflux at 3 months though I suspect she had it since 2 wks old... Poor lil Angel
And play more, she's already 8 months and I wish I slowed down instead if keeping house under control

I'll be trying to breast feed for longer I'll also be buying a lot less stuff lol (plus DDs out grown things will be usable again so I'll get some more use out of everything ).

I would not make our house totally quiet when they sleep. We crept around and didn't make a sound when DS slept, he is now 1 and a very very light sleeper. Refuses to sleep in the pram because its far too loud.
