I had low amniotic fluid at around 32 weeks. I kept having scans and ctg's. I think I had a scan every couple of weeks and I made sure I drank heaps of fluid (not that it helped). Each scan showed low fluid. I think it went down to around 6 or 7 (I cant remember now). But then at around 37 weeks, I had a scan and it was back to normal! From that point on, I didnt need another scan and went on to 41 weeks. Im pretty sure they worry when the afi goes down to 5 and under but it also depends on how the bub is laying and the measuring - dont quote me on that though. Do u know your afi number? I really feel for u and have my fx'ed that everything is ok.

No I don't know. I didn't really get much information from them really. I've been googling heaps (dunno if that's a bad idea) but lots of what I read said the concern with having low fluid this early is that bub hasn't finished developing properly. God, tomorrow can not come quick enough. Im praying for some positive news.

Thanks for all the replies x

A guy from work's wife had low amniotic fluid. His son was born a little premie but is perfectly fine.
    Fingers crossed for today!
