I do office work but I have to clean too and that involves pretty strong chemicals so I don't want to risk that. And because I'm epileptic i will need all the sleep I can get. I've read pregnancy can increase seizures ( luckily I only have small blank outs but still) But I'll have a job waiting for me when I want to go back ( or when I have to more like)

Luckily for me, I have no intention of going back to my work lol 8-/
I will probably quit rather than take maternity leave. When/if we need money in the future I will get part time or night work.

I don't think my work will offer a part time position sadly. They're not really big on that idea. So I think when bub is 4 months I'll start having a looksy. Hopefully I can find something really close to home, dreaming now

Crafty I agree the chems probs wouldnt be great whilst utd.

Shani your job sounds awesome and FUN! Is it pretty full on or not too bad?

Yeah definitely not. So my partner and I have had to really plan a lot and he was studying while I worked now he will work and then I think after 4-5 months I'll go back to work a few days a week.

    Good idea

Im lucky that dh works a roster with two day shifts, two night shifts and four days off. So those four days off will be awesome once we have a bub. So much we can do as a fam and avoid crowds etc. Really thankful for that. It will be hard tho when he's sleeping during the day. Will have to take bub out when they get older so as not to wake daddy. Hopefully mum will be pretty much retired by then anyway so we can go hang out with grandma. But yes, ill most likely be looking for work to start when bub is 6 months. Unless dh decides otherwise...would be nice to have longer off

I'd love to stay home but it's not really an option. But I can work day or night so I can work around stuff. Plus we live with the MIL so expenses aren't sky high so we don't need a huge pay cheque luckily. Like I've said previously I'm stocking up on stuff now while I have the money so I won't need to buy anything then and I plan to use cloth nappies and breast feed so the first few months won't cost much at all. I hate money lol

We are already buying things too, so it softens the blow later. I intend to do mix cloth & disposable. Not sure I trust cloth nappies whilst in public, at least while I still have my L plates lol. And changing etc while out, u can just chuck in bin. I actually saw that there's cloth pads also, for feminine purposes. I figure if I'm going to be washing pooey nappies I may as well wash bloody pads right? 8-| anything to save costs lol 8-)

I'm actually in the process of starting a new online retail business dealing with geek/punk/alternative clothing jewellery & accessories. I'm hoping that this will keep growing as it is, and will sustain us when I quit. Hopefully it can put me off going back to work too early. Though there's no way to really know, and I'm happy to wait tables if necessary :-)

I won a cloth pad pack (but I am on the Mirena and don't get periods at the moment) so I sold them for like $1 plus postage ( no point selling something I got for free at a higher price) try mama minx that's who I got it through and they're so pretty and soft and minky and there's all different shapes and sizes etc. Would be so much more comfortable IMO. I feel silly for buying stuff this early to be honest and my partner and I haven't told any of our family our plans so we sneak it in our room because we live with my partners mum and stash stuff in cupboards and big plastic containers. Like I'm a naughty teenager or something

I really want to start buying mat clothes. I was looking online this morning.

Also need to start thinking seriously about what car I want next year. Going to go up in size. I drive a cruze atm.

I think I might start buying cute gender neutral baby clothes if I see them for a good price and super cute
