Default Effectiveness of early detection pregnancy tests

I am 10 DPO and used one of the early testing strips this morning and got a BFN.

does anyone know how effective they are at 10 DPO? Should I be waiting until 14 DPO to test again, or is it safe to say I'm definitely not pregnant?

It is only a small percentage of people who get positives this early I would test again in 2-4 days. I think it's only 90% of people approx who get a bfp the day before their af is due

I would wait...i got an extremely faint positive at 12dpo and a clear positive at 14dpo. So 10dpo can be too early.

I got a really faint pos at 10dpo. But a much more reliable result from 12dpo onwards.

The longer you wait the more consistent the results. Even at 10dpo it was hard to get excited cause there was still some doubt about the faint color and if I was just imagining it

thanks Tabby, what a great link. At least I know I'm not definitely out of the running!

thank you everyone for your own stories, I'll wait until the end of the week and test again. It might end up being a nice way to start the long weekend!
