Only natural to feel that way Rainbow. You'll be fine. Yep I was the same except I went on day 4. The hospital were giving me fybogel but didn't really help. I was petrified of going but it wasn't that bad. Enjoy a peaceful dinner while you can.

Bond sorry its tough going for you at the moment. I hope Meadow gets into a routine soon and you can rest when she's napping

Smurfy it's hard when they refuse sleep. We're allowed to have days where it all feels too hard.

AFM I've got a stupid cold which has knocked me about. Hoping Ava doesn't get it. DH made me chicken soup and sent me to bed early. He'll wake me to feed at 10:30pm. Best I get some rest then

I still describe the first couple of weeks as a complete shock to the system. Nothing prepared me for it.

Rainbow, my first poo after Oscar was an horrific experience, as I was also stitched and swollen. With Lucy I got wise; took regular lactulose and drank ALOT, and even packed Microlax enemas as a back-up.

Rainbow - I was given nothing, but I just drank loads of water and for my first poo did 2 things - relaxed and 'breathed' it out ( tried not to tense and went slow) and held toilet paper against my stitches. Warning though - when finished, slowly take the toilet paper off the area. If it has dried a little, it can sting a little. This is going to be TMI, but helped me, if I thought it had dried, I did a little wee to soften the paper.
Also...... Oh Lordy, the feelings of inadequateness, failure, overwhelming love, happiness, frustration, etc, etc are about to hit!! Please know this is allll so normal and you will be doing an amazing job!! There will be days you don't shower or stay in your pj's all day and that is ok! There will be days all Toby days is feed and you don't move - totally normal! But within a few weeks, it will settle down and you will get back to 'normal'. And if you feel like crying, let it out!!! I spent many nights bawling for no reason ( triggered by feeling like a failure). It all passes

Bond - I hope meadow gets into her groove soon. I just spent 1.5 hours rocking Chelsea asleep. On the 3rd attempt of putting her down, she stayed asleep. I have Been up since 4:30am, so hoping she has a 6 hour sleep!

Rainbow - I took a fibre supplement, ate dried fruit and LOTS of water

Bond - hope things get better soon. Its hard juggling 2 isn't it? I'm struggling to find time to do anything and feel like DD is missing out cos im so tired all the time. I know she isn't but I can't help but feel that way

Maybee - hope u feel better soon

AFM - I think C is having a growth spurt. He is now 5 weeks old and omg he has tortured my boobs the past few days. My nipples are bright red and I swear it feels like he had sucked my milk ducts out! He has been cluster feeding every evening then the past few nights wakes every. 1 1/2 to 2 hours for feeds. It takes an hour to feed so not much sleep here I am contemplating giving him a bottle of ebm each evening to give my boobs a break but he loves his boobies so much that he still wants boob after and when I tried it the other night he power-chucked from over feeding. I think he just wants to comfort suck but his suck is so strong now!!

Hope everyone is well, sorry I'm not posting much, too crazy here, but I'm reading along

Waiting - I gave Chelsea a bottle of EBM a few times to give my boobs a break! Totally worth it and I would go without a bra sometimes too (if staying home!)

Good idea I was thinking tonight that I would love to go bra-less cos the material hurts on my nipples! How much ebm do u give? Does she do ok with breast and bottle?

Rainbow good luck at home. The advice from the ladies sounds good re your first poo. I only had vaginal tearing so poo was fine, wee stung like anything! Normal to feel completely overwhelmed.

Bond I hope meadow settles into a routine soon.

Maybee hope you feel better soon and Ava doesn't get sick. I had a cold last weekend which River got on Tuesday, loooong week since.

Waiting: I hope your nipples recover quickly. Its good that Charlie is eating so well though. I never wear a bra at home but as I rarely am engorged enough to leak it doesn't matter.

MissX how are you and Chelsea?

J how are you going? How's Lucy?

Nila how's things with the family? Hope the twins are good.

FTM havent heard much from you, how are you and Vale?

Sorry that's all I can remember.

I went braless after having Sienna, and managed to rip the skin off my nipple (my shirt got stuck) ouch. I can do it no probs now.

I definitely had loads of tears in the first few weeks. The mistake I made, was that we didn't leave the house much, so I was slowly going crazy. And we had so many people coming to visit, it was overwhelming. Once I started getting out more, I felt a bit more sane. I still cried on occasion, but not much.
