Yes, I watched the second clip on the iPad and could only hear a grunt too, but when I watched it on my computer I could hear him say it clearly.

I'll preface this by saying I am going deaf, but I didn't hear him say "truck you" or anything either, on either of the clips.
I think he just looks w@nky running from the media over something he promised to stop. Or did I not understand his promise to stop deaths from asylum seeker boats trying to get to Australia??

    I could hear it?

I thought he was going to 'fix' the boat people problem by turning them back?

In 3 years I'm going to be proudly saying I didn't vote for him when everyone is calling to get rid of him.

He is seriously as dumb as a bag of spanners. Welcome to our PM who can't even express condolences without it being scripted.

Those asylum seekers, who were mostly children, drowned on their way to Australia. I expect the LEADER of Australia to at least offer condolences when confronted by the media. All he did was prove, once again, that he is way out of his depth as the PM and can't think on his feet.

    Yes...and he did.

I think some people are disappointed that their PM had nothing to say other than, "F--- off".

I'm disappointed that even from a personal stand point, he couldn't stand in front of the cameras and say "My family and myself are deeply grieved for the men, women and children who died due to boat error" or something. Just personally show some form of humanity and empathy. Not even from a "Representing Australia" stand point.

ETA: Yeah, finally heard it. Had to watch it a few times but it's kind of after the old man groan of when he gets in the car and then a muttered under the breath "Oh truck off". So it might not be him, but I think it is.

I heard it. It was quite clear to me, but I am at work and therefore wearing my nifty headset, which tends to make sound clearer.

It would almost be amusing, if this man was not our PM, and if the huge tragedy of so many lost lives had not occurred. Unfortunately he is and it did.

I am embarrassed to admit that this man is our PM. I may just go into a state of denial until further notice.

And 3 boats have arrived here this week. You can't stop the boats unless you can stop wars and famines across the globe.

Omigod - I heard it too! It is just as he is puling the door closed.

He doesn't look like his usual cheerful self, looking a bit harder. Bit harder being the PM and coming under scrutiny for every little thing than being opposition leader, eh?
