Default Toddler briefly passing out after a shock

I've read it's nothing to worry about, just wanted to hear how many other toddlers do this?

It's happened twice now - once when she fell over and just now when the cat scratched her. She screams, holds her breath & goes red. She passes out for maybe 2-3 seconds and then comes out of it.

I forget what it's called but the health nurse and gp have told me it's something to do with them not comprehending shock or a fright like we do?

It's very scary & upsetting when it happens

My DS3 used to do this when he was younger, Please see a specialist to find ways to help, not meaning to scare you but my son did it once very severe, he turned blue, eyes rolled back in his head, no pulse, we had to do CPR and revive him. It is very scary
