No I wanted a drug free birth with dd3 but could not do it I did get to 8cm with the just the gas & air then had the epidural. I do regret it I think if I really had the support I could have done it without the epidural cause dd3 was born about an hour later.

I think if you are wanting drug free have a good plan

Yes I did with DS. Had a bit of gas during transition but it made me feel sick. My advice is to stay really well hydrated. I drank 3 litres of diluted powerade over 8 hours. I also used the shower and bath for pain relief.

Yes. I was induced with DS. No drugs and had a water birth. Not saying it wasn't painful and intense.

After my induction at 7am, I had my waters broken at 7:30pm and DS was born at 9pm.

Yep I was induced at 38weeks and only had gas for pain relief- definitely doable- crazy intense but can do.

    I was induced at 41+5
I asked for the gas but took one breath of it and realised it interrupted my breathing pattern so I didn't have any more.

I had no other pain relief. I found focussing on my breathing and going into my own "zone" was what helped me.

I'm hoping my next labour can be drug free too

It's good to know that it's possible.. I'm keeping an open mind but a drug free birth would be nice.

Definitely possible! I had a drug free induced (with the drip) labour, no gas or anuthing like that. I did find it much more intense than my spontaneous labour but it is defintely possible

I was induced with my second and went drug free. To be honest that labour was 100 times better than my spontanious natural birth.

I was in labour for 12 hours and pushing for 3. I had no pain relief up until about half way when I started on the gas. I don't think it did much for pain, it did make me feel like I was drunk and hallucinating though haha.
