    Default colouring hair at home....help!

I want to colour my hair tonight...I have some colour that says to use on dry unwashed hair...I usually use this but today I have some product in my hair...wax I think ...from the hairdressers...do I need to get this out of my hair first or can I use the colour on top of it???? if I have to wash my hair I wont be able to colour it until the morning...which is no fun with kids awake!

I'd wash the product out, just forgo the conditioner.
I wash my hair every day and do so even when dying my hair and have no problems.

The colour won't bind as well to hair that has just been washed.

I agree, wash your hair but don't condition otherwise the colour won't stick
