Default Poor egg quality - melotonin

    Hi
Just wondering if anyone has been put on melotonin to help egg quality?
What other things/medications have people been put on to help this?
I get good egg numbers but poor fertilisation rates despite icsi (husband sperm good) so thinking its egg problem.

    Hi Lizzy,

My last two stimm cycles I took melatonin combined with a change to menapour. I got more eggs, and on the last had 100 % fert rate as well.

In other cycles I had 50 % and even only one out of 4 eggs. It's been a huge difference, and also I have got a BFP in both of those. I just need them to be more sticky.

I certianly think the melatonin really helped plus its great to help you sleep. I had many nights awake with worry about IVF. So it just gave me a good nights rest.

My FS won't prescribe other medications like DHEA and there are some great supplements to take as well.

So I went and got them to take as well, it can't hurt to give them a go.

    Good luck

    Hi Lizzyg

After a long 8 year journey our first babygirl is due January.
I only ever got one or two eggs and they never fertilised eithereven through icsi.. were poor quality. I had never gotten to tranfer stage
Our succcessful attempt had me on melatonin and dhea for 3 months before the cycle. We had a remarkable 7 follicles, 5 fertilized through icsi, 2 went on to be A grade blastocyst ... giving us one hatching to implant and 1 to freeze.

Dare to dream, believe and discover ....
1 transfer of a healthy embryo was all it took.
I hope you find your winning combo soon too xx
