    Default Spelling help please

Ok I know 99% of you hate the name, I am not asking if you like it! And even though it is my favourite I don't think it will be the name of my little one bc everyone seems to hate it. BUT if DH shoots down the name I have chosen (even if I am not sure on it) I will suggest the name I love and if he likes it better there is nothing else left for me to suggest so I decided I best have planned out how I would spell it. I only have 2 weeks until my c-section.

The name is Oleksiy (traditional Ukrainian spelling) nn Olli. As you can see by my other kids name traditional spelling is not essential to me as long as it is spelt the way its sounds is more my thing. Although I am not for changing the spelling of a name just so it is different (that is not why Zacks name is spelt the way it is) So would you spell it:
    - Oleksiy
    - Oleksei
    - Oleksi
    - Oleksey
    - Oleksie
    - Oleksea
    - Olexiy
    - Olexei
    - Olexi
    - Olexey
    - Olexie
    - Other

    Oleksi.

I have an eastern european name which thankfully the traditonal spelling is phonetic. Everyone still gets it wrong (mostly as it sounds similar to a western name so they assume it's that) or think it is harder to pronounce than it is (just because they have never seen it before).

I don't hate it. I wouldn't choose it but it's an ok name. How do you want it pronounced? O-les-kee or O-lex-ee because from your list if I saw them written I would say them differently

I would use the traditional spelling, I don't see that the pronunciation would be so hard. Otherwise you're getting into the Michaela/Meekhayla kind of territory where any Ukranian person would be thinking "what on earth?".

    Ol' Esky?
Sorry, just teasing - I think the original way or not at all.
