Default Anyone actually get constipated before labour?

The last few days I have been seriously constipated. Felt like I needed to go, couldn't. Had about a third of a pineapple yesterday which would normally fix it but until this arvo I was still unhappy down there. Then all of a sudden like ten mins after a hot shower and last unsuccessful attempt at pooing i had the semi squirts, then about 30 mins after that another bout of really liquid squirts, then 30 mins later wanted to poo again and couldn't!!! So frustrated so hoping it is something other than squashed insides!!!

Feeling very warm and period crampy at lower front abdo but assuming it is to do with digestive issues. Anyone else feel like this before labour ordo I just have to accept I have blocked up issues?

I don't feel like she is ready but I didn't see any signs with my first either til I woke up in full labour.

I hope it is pre labour because it is so frustrating. I am tempted to pig out on kiwifruit, pineapples and stuff tonight to try and clear blockage but don't want to give myself a gutache if it isn't going to work!!!

I mistook my labour for tummy cramps and the runs! I kept getting these strong belly cramps followed by the desperate need to dash to the loo and have violent diarrhoea!

It wasn't until DH started timing my pains and runs cycles and declared that he didn't believe gastro happened every 5mins on the dot, that I accepted that I was in labour!

it is all so weird. I thought I shall go with I am constipated and had all this gut clearing fresh homemade juice yesterday in hopes I would wake up this morning a changed woman but NOTHING. I am over being constipated more than I am over being pregnant I think. I had 5 braxton hicks timed nicely in a row last night, all over 50s, then they just stopped. Our bodies are so cruel at this stage lol

I had this in the week before DD2 was born, I was sitting on the loo trying to go when my waters broke actually! She was my only baby that engaged before labour and was for about a week so I think that might have made me feel like I needed to go the loo when I didn't. Constipation is horrible at the best of times, I hope it eases for you soon!
