Default Did you stash baby items??

So DF and I are planning to start TTC next year and I'm ridiculously excited and have started stashing baby items.. I feel a little silly because we still have a while to wait, but I just love researching everything baby related! I keep telling myself that it's sensible to stretch the costs out. Lol.

So the question is, did you stash baby items before you started TTC? And if you did what did you stash?

Yep. But only clothes, toys and blankets. Mostly stuff I bought for other people's kids that I couldn't bear to give away.

Yep I was guilty! And it was a good thing because when I got to about ten weeks I couldn't stand even looking at baby items

Only a handful of clothing items. I was frustrated at the lack of gender neutral stuff though so I don't have much.

I bought 1 or 2 things but started putting aside money and researching like crazy what I wanted when we decided we would TTC in a few months. Meant I saved for about a year before bubs arrived and I knew exactly how I wanted to spend my money. I had spread sheets and all

We bought a cot a couple months before we started ttc because it was on a ridiculous saving.

I then had a miscarriage so the next time we got pregnant I felt like it would jinx us if we started buying stuff. Didn't really feel comfortable buying stuff until I was 19 weeks and had my morphology scan.

We researched alot and kept an eye out for bargains. Ended up picking up a cot off eBay in perfect condition for $80 and a pram for a steal as well. I found it better knowing we weren't in a hurry as we could take our time and make sure the purchases were perfectly suited and at the best possible price.

We had one MC and then fell with this bub during that time (now 38wks)

I didn't believe that being clever about spending and was going to make a lick of difference as to the outcome of the pregnancy. I'm not superstitious and find it smarter to find bargains at my own pace than fear it will somehow magically cause a problem. Also if we weren't successful.. We would have been trying again regardless.
