We were thinking Ameila as Millie is cute for a little girl but maybe not for an adult. However my nan's mother was Ameila but my nan hated her, she was not even at my nans wedding, I don't want to offend my nan by calling our daughter Ameila, so I'm now considering Millie... What are your thoughts, is Millie to childish for an adult???
Why not spell it Emelia? It's the French spelling and makes it similar but not your great grandmothers exact name. If you really like Amelia that is. Millie by itself is still cute but if it's a longer name she can choose what she introduces herself as

They've already been suggested but you could name her either Millicent, Amelie, Camille/Camilla and use Millie as a nn but then she'll have the longer name to use as an adult!
    Millicent Rose is lovely!
Also Isla is everywhere right now! It seems like everyone I know this year who had a girl named her Isla!
