I can't speak more highly of Genea in Kent St. They have been so incredibly professional, understanding and sympathetic - I always felt like I was getting the best possible care available.

I am currently PG through them for the third time and all 3 times they have been exceptional. I think they are the most expensive but if that doesn't worry you then I would recommend them thoroughly.

I don't know if you have looked at any of the IVF monthly threads yet but across the 3 pregnancies I have been in them a lot and some of the things others say about their clinics makes me so so so pleased I am with Genea. Things like:
    - clinics not doing regular bloods throughout a cycle to monitor hormone levels
    - nurses that have made people cry
    - procedures such as Egg Pickup being only done on certain days of the week so you being put on the pill beforehand so your body meets their schedule!!!
    - no options around anesthetics for procedures
    - non responsiveness of the specialists and having to wait months in between cycles because the specialist can't make time to see them
    - embryo transfers done on days that suit the clinic (ie if the embryo will be 5 days old on a Sunday they will do the transfer early to avoid working on a Sunday even though 5 day transfers are generally best practice).

I was lucky that my GP referred me to Genea, cause I didn't research it and they turned out to be awesome.

    Good luck on your journey!

I have done 3 rounds (about to start round 4) of ICSI through IVF Australia. I can't comment on the specific doctor you mentioned as I've had no deals with him, but I cannot speak highly enough of the nurses, doctors, & reception staff that I've had contact with. My first round of ICSI was successful, & I now have a very cheeky 2 & 1/2 year old little boy to show for it. The following 2 rounds have been unsuccessful, but I have a really good feeling about our next cycle Good Luck with your choice, it's such a personal decision. You have to go with whatever feels right for you & DH

Dr Porter is great! I highly recommend Dr Frank Quinn at IVF Australia. I have been with this Dr since 2007 and have 2 healthy baby boys and currently trying for our 3rd. IVF Australia as amazing. Everything from their set up to their staff are fabulous.
