Default So want to lock my daughter up! This generation is bad!

so im scared my daughter is goin to dress like these girls you see walking down the street. Selfies wth.... its like soft porn I really dont want her thinking its ok to dress half naked and wag school and do bad things. Is anybody think the same way as me theres gotta be a place that doesnt except this crap!

Lol - I feel exactly the same!!!!!! I HATE all the dolls that are fashion at the mo - Bratz, Monster High (????!!!), and even Barbie is looking decidedly skanky. I know that she will be influenced by friends in the future, but I am hoping that my future discussions re self-pride, privacy, safety, age appropriateness - and skankiness!!!! - will pay off. Oh, and this whole Princess/Tinkerbell franchise bugs me as well!

I feel like such a prude saying this, but what's with the very young teenaged girls and their exposed midriffs? They have such gorgeous figures but the lack of boobs just makes them look like they're wearing their little sisters shirts!

Argh I hate it. I only have sons so far but I don't want them thinking that is acceptable or having girlfriends that dress/act that way.

My sister has a great saying "your shorts need to be longer than your vagina".

    I have 3 beautiful dressed dd's.

I found that it all come down to teaching them what is appropriate while still allowing them to have their own style.

    This!
My mum was like that with my sister & I. We have always been conscious of clothing length and not showing too much cleavage. You don't have to be showing your hoohaa to catch a guy's eye... I'd even go as far as saying a guy is more likely to take a second glance when you are leaving stuff to the imagination.
