    I google imaged hedgehog which is how I saw the contrast thing. When you're not up close they kind of look speckly.

    It's probably more helpful than my first thought which was that it is called hedgehog slice because that's what a hedgehog looks like when you slice it......

    Slightly off topic, but I was talking to a friend, who is from Germany, recently and apparently hedgehogs live under hedges. I guess this is kind of obvious but I had never given it any thought before.

    I think "it's what hedgehogs eat" is most likely to fly with a 4yo :-)
