I like them cause dh is a teacher so he is home too (although he has a tonne of marking to do) but its nice him being in the house at least. If i need to duck out i dont need to take the tribe.

The kids constantly fight which stresses me out. But we have promised some rad outings these holidays which i can use as leverage for behaviour management lol

    Bit of both.

I HATE the nagging and whinging.
I HATE the cost of vacation care.
I HATE the fact that she'll trash the house even more than normal.

I LOVE that it means we can both sleep in.
I LOVE that it means we can spend some time together, doing whatever we want without having to consider DP too.
I LOVE that there's more activities on for kids, so there's more for us to actually do together.

Before I was on maternity leave and was working full time I hated the cost of vacation care. Now that I'm not working I'm so glad ill have my girls home to help with my 5 month old DS as DH works away so it'll be nice to have my girls for company and spare sets of hands plus we go away on Sunday for a week. We have hired a house on the beach and I can't wait!

Lol, I'd like to see the responses to this thread on the last day of the holidays

I love them. Don't have school aged kids, but as a children's librarian I love having all the school kids in for holiday activities. It's nice to see the old story time kids growing up

Curious to know which library, so I can bring DS 1&2 in for a visit

I HATED the first set of holidays early this year (DS is in prep) because I was so unprepared and the kids were bored and drove me mental. Since then I've loved them. I plan what we are doing early so now that the holidays have started the kids will be doing something every day.
