Default The Fertility Centre in Brisbane

Hi, I apologise if this has already been covered.

My husband and I have been given the news that we have to try IVF to conceive. We are both so overwhelmed and face the issue of having a limited time before I am required to have a hysterectomy for medical reasons. I am so confused.

We live near Bundaberg and went to the IVF clinic who told us we would be looking at approx $8000 out of pocket. After some quick research I found the Fertility Centre in Brisbane offer IVF for $1300. I am struggling to comprehend the difference in price. When I called they said they are so busy that it will be around 4 months before we could actually see a specialist.

I can't seem to find any success rates with this clinic or even any reviews about it. I just wondered if anyone had used them and what they thought of it. We are prepared to travel anywhere we need to for IVF so travel is of no issue to us. I would have preferred not to have to wait so long due to the fact that our time limit is pretty short.

Anyway, thanks heaps in advance if anyone can give me an opinion on this clinic.

I'm so sorry you are having to start this journey. It certainly is overwhelming.

$8000 out of pocket seems alot. We usually pay $8000-9000 but get alot back. Maybe $4500 out of pocket for the first cycle and then less when we've reached the safety net.

I know the Fertility Centre is much cheaper. Lots of girls have used them and I'm sure will reply. In the meantime, there is a thread on here called The Fertility Centre Springwood. Maybe have a read.

Most clinics will email their price lists, so maybe do a ring around and get some information sent through. There's Monash IVF, Queensland Fertility Group and City Fertility just to name a few. Good luck!
