So does everyone here know if they are going public or private?

DH and I have decided that we are going private, even though it does cost a bit. Got my preferred Ob and a backup in case he is full.

I will be going public as I did last time. I had a fantastic smaller hospital which were amazing so definitely keen to go back again. I have actually had some bleeding today (sorry if TMI) which I'm unsure about so time will tell.

I will be going public. We considered private, but really we don't see any pros relevant to us, so we will save the costs for other things :-)

We'll be going private. I'm already pretty attached to my ob because she's been looking after me since my d&c (I've had some issues).

Also for those that know a bit more about it, how do they work out your due date if you have a long cycle? I know in apps I have used they work it out for you but does your doctor/Ob take your word for it or would they do dating scans to check?

I went public for DS1 and felt like a number - hated it.
Went private for DS2 and absolutely loved it. I love my OB he is amazing so ill be going private again. For us it was worth every cent.

just get a dating scan at about 5-6weeks and go by that.
