    Default Underwire bras

When did you stop wearing underwire bras? I'm 37 weeks along so I'm wondering if I should ditch the underwire?

I stopped wearing them around 36 weeks because my boobs went through a growth spurt & the underwires had started to dig in. If my boobs hadn't grown bigger I probably wouldn't have stopped wearing them till I went into hospital.

I have read mixed thoughts on underwires and pregnancy. Personally I can't stand the mono boob appearance that non underwire/nursing bras give me. I have been wearing them this whole time. At 30 weeks I got a few cheapies from Kmart that are a much bigger cup size. I got properly measured at bras and things before hand.

I have heard that as long as they aren't causing you discomfort or digging in, it's no harm done. The lactation consultant I saw a few weeks ago didn't seem bothered at all that I was still wearing underwires. Now 38wks I don't plan on changing until i need nursing bras.
