Not sure what link you are referring. I didn't link to anything. The poll was from Gallup. Are they dodgy? The data is here if you would like to 'factcheck' it.

Please let me know if you find any issues with their methodology for conducting the survey.

I'm not sure why you are even linking that poll in the first place? Does it have anything to do with the Australian government? If not wrong thread Also, considering a poll done by Gallup found that 37% of American's who were polled could not locate America on a world map, I hardly think them not understanding climate change is surprising.

Let's start with the fact that this was a survey of 513 people! (Gallup's reputation by the way has been sinking like a stone in recent times, particularly as they were the only major pollster that put Romney consistently ahead.)

Second, as I said above, this is just measuring what issues have been in the news lately.

But in any case, adding together worried "a great deal" with worried "a fair amount" still gives half the sample seriously concerned about climate change.

All in all, a complete waste of space that tells us nothing much about anything.

If Abbott is smart he will not oppose a conscience vote in the party room and let Parliament resolve the gay marriage issue once and for all. Any other course just promises more political pain for the Coalition.

p.s. I live around the corner from this school, so I'm basking in the reflected glory from these switched-on kids .

I don't live far either, although I'm not in that electorate.

Pretty good for year 9 students!

    .
The gay marriage issue did not cause any political pain for him at the last election. It was not a big issue at all during the election campaign, and I don't see why the next election would be any different.

Ok. Then I guess other members are also under no obligation to engage with her either.
I just thought it was appropriate to respond to a polite question. Maybe I'm wrong.
