Being a politician is very time consuming and involves a lot of time from home. Just as my job does. I don't think it is invalid to ask if I can fulfil my duties if I am not home with the kids giving them what they need.

What is the relevance? I was asking if the GG did. Apparently they ALL get similar treatment.

Apparently, all women in positions of power and hounded by sexism.
Did Thatcher ever complain that she was a target of sexism?
I posted the quote of some of the things she said, in her autobiography. Do I know if she was personally offended? Nope, sorry - I didn't know her. What is the point anyway? A sexist slur does not just offend the person it is directed at. It offends lots of women:roll eyes: In this day and age, I just can't believe that this needs explaining.

And how many male MPs of that time were asked if they could fulfil their duties as fathers? How many are asked that in this day and age?
Look, the sexism endured by Thatcher is pretty well documented. Instead of posting your questions here, why not type them into google?? Thatcher is not a member of the Australian govt which is what this thread is about.

Neither is Andrew Bolt, yet you keep wanting to talk about him.

Rob Oakshott talked about it himself.
Oakeshott says he has a fear of political life invading his already scarce family time, and that largely defines his approach to productivity boosting gadgets.

“I have four young children under seven and technology does keep you on 24/7 if you let it,” he says. “I have had to actively manage technology, particularly in the last 18 months, in making sure that I uphold my first job, which is to be a father,” he says.
“Switching things off to allow you to turn your brain on to the job of trying to be a good dad is something I am very conscious of, and something I have to actively make myself do.”
Maybe that was sexist of him to say such a thing???

Nope, pretty different to being asked about it by a media rep during a professional interview.
