That is good to hear. But it is disgusting that the ABC would endorse it. Our tax dollars go towards this???

Th F*** Abbot tee shirt, on the other hand, while vulgar in terms of language, is indicative of a general dislike for Abbot in terms of what he has done as PM. I don't have a problem with that as it isn't threatening him, or inciting others to perhaps do so. I don't object to anyone expressing their dissatisfaction with the govt but it should not contain threats- implied or direct
Am I correct to assume that you didn't complain about the 'witch' sign regarding Gillard? It wasn't threatening and was expressing 'dissatisfaction with the govt'????

Can you please give me an example of what was so abhorrent towards Gillard? It would be interesting to see if their is something so abhorrent that happened to her that hasn't been done to Abbott already.

Well, we could start with Alan Jones saying her father "died of shame".

The witch sign had one main difference- it's a slur based on gender- not dissatisfaction with policy or performance.
For a good summary of the harassment Gillard was subjected to I suggest you read this well known speech given by Dr Anne Summers on the subject-
    http://annesummers.com.au/speeches/h...-work-r-rated/

Gillard was subjected to gender based and sexual harassment both by the media and the opposition- this is a widely recognised and documented fact.
I don't agree with everything she and labor did but I do not believe she should have been subjected to the vitriol that she was.

I haven't seen anyone create a vulgar menu for a labor party fundraiser. And I also haven't heard of any shock jocks being sacked for asking inappropriate questions to tony abbott.

Yeah it's pretty crap. I was being sarcastic .... (Need to figure out how to do a sarcastic smiley face on my I phone).

None of this type of derogatory comment is okay (IMO), but does the presence of sexist slurs against a male prime minister illustrate that it does go both ways?
