It wasn't that long ago, but we had a Labor government who said, during the August mini-budget, that under them unemployment was going to to rise to 6.25% this financial year.

I think you have a case of the "Abbotts". Just wanting to blame Abbott for everything. Labor was in government for 6 years. Abbott has had a couple of months to fix what they destroyed. He is doing well, but he's not a miracle worker.
