Glad you acknowledge that warming began in the 1700s.
Have you had a look at global CO2 concentrations during the Industrial Revolution?

I know I said I wouldn't engage...but.... I never said I believed it has stopped warming - quite the opposite. I believe every single thing you have ever posted on this subject is a load of codswallop. But you asked for someone to it show you some reasons why it had stopped warming- so I posted it

Not sure why Beebs thanked your post. According to Beebs posts, she thinks that it has stopped warming, like most scientists now reluctantly acknowledge.

Were the links credible? They seemed to think that it had stopped warming enough that they attempted to find a possible cause. Do you not believe them? But at the same time, believe their reasons???

I really hate quoting myself ... but it appears to be necessary.

Give it a rest. Posts that are

For those that don't want to take David Rose's on board, maybe you might listen to Tamara Cohen???

Scientists working on the most authoritative study on climate change were urged to cover up the fact that the world’s temperature hasn’t risen for the last 15 years, it is claimed.

Weird that politicians are interfering with the scientists' report. I don't think that is how science is supposed to work. But it does show how political this 'science' has become.

On a side note, I'm glad that the government has stopped paying Tim Flannery $180,000 a year for working part time trying to scare the population with dud predictions. Good news!

    * CLARIFICATION: An earlier version of this story contained errors that have been corrected. The earlier version said the IPCC had dramatically revised down the rate of global warming over the past 60 years. In fact, the new rate of 0.12C every decade is almost the same as the IPCC's 2007 figure of 0.13C every decade over the 50 years to 2005. The report was based on a British media article that has since been corrected. The earlier version also said incorrectly that the IPCC conducted its own computer modelling. That error was made in the production process.

I assume you saw this rather um... Embarrassing correction in the Australian Father? Oops!
    Good times!

I did. I'm not sure why The Australian didn't quote this from the 2007 IPCC report - as I posted earlier.

Since IPCC's first report in 1990, assessed projections

have suggested global average temperature increases
between about 0.15°C and 0.3°C per decade for 1990 to
2005. This can now be compared with observed values
of about 0.2°C per decade, strengthening confidence in near-term projections

It was a very good episode. I cannot believe the ABC put him on a panel on his own. On 'climate change', he had no idea. He did not even know the names of any of the global datasets! And was quite happy just 'denying' the evidence provided by those datasets of the pause in global warming.
