Default Potty training 27 month old

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and started potty training DS last week. He's 27 months old. He was asking me to change his nappy every 10 minutes so I thought what the heck.
He did well on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. He did a few pees and poos in the potty but Saturday, Sunday & today are a different story. He peed in his cotton undies and in his pull ups only. He probably did one pee in the potty. He didn't do anything at daycare today. They popped him on every half an hour and nothing...

    What do you guys think?
Should I keep going with it?
    Should I do anything different?
Should I wait a few more months and try again?

    Keep going

Lots of praise and rewards when he goes

Have as many bear bum days as possible and remind him every hour

I read a great article that I used when soon my 2 year old will try to find the link for you

    Just keep at it
One tip that my childcare advised was instead of saying over and over again "lets go and wee" instead say "don't forgot to tell mummy when you want to wee". My DD has always loved getting her own way and responded well to this. She would happily wee on the loo for about 6 months before she'd poo in there

Although, I've heard some take a backwards step once a sibling arrives...guess its a good way to get 1:1 time with mum again once you are busy with bub.

There is always a regression after a good start.

    Keep at it.

He had a complete and utter breakdown last night on the potty : ( I think I'll be leaving it for the summer.
It's so hard. I don't know what to do. I don't want him to associate the potty/toilet with negativity.

I would leave it for now and try again in a few weeks. I would much rather leave them in nappies until they're truly ready to use the toilet and have them fully TT in a couple of days rather than dragging out the process over weeks and weeks while cleaning up wee's and poo's and stressing yourselves out.
