Has anyone else not ovulated at all on clomid? I'm getting all the horrible side effects with no result.
I would love to be able to track a cycle and know when I ovulate like a lot of you ladies, but truth is I haven't ever ovulated since I was 15, no idea what it is like. I fee like I don't even have a small chance to conceive.
    Sorry for the depressing rant

Thanks for the words ladies. Today is a new day and trying to feel positive again. Now attending a natural fertility centre to see a naturopath and have acupuncture. I have a very supportive husband so I know I'm not alone.
He makes jokes that I'm always on the bub hub, and that he wants a 'wanna be a dad bub hub' guess at times I forget that this has a huge affect on him as we'll

Saw our FS specialist again yesterday, to discuss results of my tubal patency test and DH 2nd (and more detailed apparently) semen analysis. So my tubes are all open, and everything else fine on my end, but DH results showed "very poor sperm morphology". 😥 Was 1%, when the norm is >4%. We are both shattered, as his last sperm test results were fine!! They were 14%! How can they be so different this time?? Nothing has changed in his life! So basically we've wasted all this time, trying for the better part of 2 yrs for nothing. He said that we have a 1% chance of falling pregnant naturally. It's so hard to believe, since we've fallen pregnant once before, but must have been a fluke. Plus it ended in MC. So we need to go straight to IVF with ICSI. Can't believe it, never thought we would have to resort to this........I almost feel foolish that I've tried all these natural remedies and treatments, acupuncture, naturopath, Chinese herbs, vitamins, clean diet, no drinking, yoga etc, to now clomid and metformin, when all along it was never going to help since there is a sperm issue. If only we'd known. It's not like we didn't try to find out, had his sperm tested last July, and all results were normal, so they said no need for further tests! Wasn't until now, not having fallen pregnant again yet, that they thought to test further. So frustrating!! And the amount of money we've spent on all this so far, only to now have to fork out god knows how much for the IVF! Of course it's worth it though, just so hard to stomach the fact that some ppl fall instantly, no treatments or expenses required at all, and here we are having to probably take out a loan to pay for this. I'm also wondering how this will affect having 2nd and 3rd kids, like will we have to do IVF every time!?!? Anyway, I'm sure I will go back to my positive self soon, I just need to process it all and also consider my poor DH whom is also feeling pretty ****ty right now. 😥

Miss smiley how many times has your dh been tested? My dh has low motility and when we first got him tested the doctor had said he needed the test 3 times to get an answer as the result can change from day to day! If ur dh had had a stressful day where he had one to many coffees and maybe not the greatest food this can effect his result for that day but the rest of the month his result could be perfect! Hence why the doc recommend 3 or more tests before they can give you a proper result!!
Don't feel like you have wasted all the other treatment as it's all part of the journey and all the natural remedies were probably improving your body for when you do fall pregnant so it's not a waste!!

I myself have been trying for 4 years and have been through ivf with my last fs, he told us ivf is our ONLY option and didn't try anything else, he also wouldn't do any other tests when I asked him! I ended up going for a second opinion and I am so glad I did as I am now on clomid and the new fs is trying other things, it turns out that we might have to go bk to ivf but the difference is that the new fs is trying other things before we go back to ivf!! So don't always trust what your doc says!

This is a ****ty journey as so much money, so frustrating!! I hope your feeling better soon xx

I'm so sorry miss smiley!!!! Sending you hugs and positive thoughts! I hope your doing okay!

So last day on clomid for me. I haven't experienced any symptoms while I've been taking it... Hoping I don't get too many after effects .... Other than ovulation lol. Going for a CD8 blood test on Thursday. And I don't really know what happens from there.

How is everyone else doing? I hope all is well!

Hi ladies - I hope you don't mind if I join. I'm starting my second round of clomid today. I'm on a 100mg dose this cycle. I had 50mg doses last time and I had awful side effects. I'm nervous about this cycle.

Sorry to hear you didn't get the results you were hoping for Smiley. Agree with Muzzy, have him retested. My gyno and an Ob (who obviously has the same gyno training but branched in obstetrics) said it's rare for sperm count to permanently change in a short period. We are ready for DH to have another SA (he last was great), but only bc we have unexplained infertility and are grasping at straws at this point.

Mellie - I did 6 months of clomid last year, and I'm on my 2nd round for this year. I find the first month or two is always the worst and the side effects get better each month. I get severe week long headaches the first 1-2 cycles then they go.

That's good to know - it was horrid last time. I had the worst migraines at work. I've got my fingers crossed it's easier.
