We had a 5 day blastocyst transferred. We didn't need ICSI as dh's sperm is really good and the eggs fertilised on their own.

I had a scan with fs yesterday and 2 follicles are growing nicely so looks like I'll ovulate around day 12. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much and just preparing myself for the next round of ivf, but it would be such a miracle if we could get our bfp this month!

How is everyone else travelling? Anyone get any nice surprises from their partners for Valentine's?

AF arrived again tonight - I was trying so hard not to get my hopes up but I really thought this was the cycle. Will start my 3rd cycle of clomiphene this week and have an appointment on March 17 to see fertility specialist. Not too sure what next step will be but really starting to think we are heading for IVF.
How many clomid cycles has everyone else tried?

Sorry to hear of AF's arrival!

I'm just about to start my third cycle next week (providing everything is on time) with this month off due to m/c... I'm nervous and excited at the same time. Such a rollercoaster.

Mrsmarcs- sorry to hear. I'm in 2ww of my 4th round and not hopeful. Hoping to get referred to ivf rather than going onto round 5.

Sarah Jayne - I get incredibly tired for a few days around O on clomid- feel like I've been hit by a bus tired. If its the weekend I'll have an arvo nap and then fall asleep at 7.30. Crazy. Surely it shouldn't take that much energy to pop an egg out.

MrsMarcs I did 4 rounds of Clomid before we moved on to ivf. I had originally planned to do 6, but I was ovulating every month on 50mg (and pretty sure I was ovulating without it) so I decided to move on after 4.

Thanks for the kind words all - everyone seems they are pretty much in the same boat atm.... fingers crossed for some clomid babies soon!

We will see the fertility doctor in 4 weeks now. (I have changed from the obstetrician doctor I had because he couldnt offer IVF from his practice).
I wonder if there is another step between clomid before starting IVF or if we will go straight onto IVF. Phee - did you start straight onto IVF?

I havent done a fully monitored cycle yet so maybe that is next. I am still getting some very long cycles up to 38 days on clomid but with a high progesterone indicating I am actually ovulating. Maybe we are still mistiming BD'ing. Will wait and see I guess.
