    Default Buddy as a boys name?

    Yay or nay?? Middle name would be John
    OMG I need to make up my mind! only 4 weeks to go and I keep changing and second guessing every name!

    As an adult in a professional capacity I'm sure he would be called Bud. If you like it go for it, my youngest son has a similar type name and I couldn't imagine anything else that would suit him

    no from me. Maybe give him a first name that can be shortened to Buddy or just call him Buddy (as a nickname) - that way if he hates it for its informality when he's older he has the choice.

    I agree with mumma oj on the mate part.
