Default when did you buy your wedding dress

So I just want to know if i have turned bridezilla yet or not...but me and DP have set a date for our wedding 22 August 2015..she hasn't proposed officially yet, I am going to propose to her (yes we both proposing..I know she would love that but she also wanted to propose...the traditional way asking parents and all) at our engagement party which we have decided will be in March next year

Thing is, just yesterday I bought or rather put on laybye my wedding gown...stunning beautiful. I was searching online, found a few I liked and when I tried this one on I just felt like yes its my wedding gown and we put a deposit. Am I crazy? Its like 2 years away????

If its THE dress then congratulations! I bought my dress in the 3rd shook visited after we had been engaged for a week lol (we had been looking and visiting wedding expos etc before getting engaged which is where I first saw the dress I loved). Just stop looking now or you may have the situation where you find something else further down the line!

I guess it depends, was it really expensive and you need 2 years to pay it off ?

I was thinking along the lines of where bloasumpossum was going - that is a big gap between engagement and wedding. What happens if you commit to a dress and then see something that blows you away a few months before the wedding?

I would wait tbh. In typical Benji style I decided on the dress (erm, and everything else) with little time to spare.

I only tried on one dress and I was actually there for my bridesmaids dresses. But I think once you find THE dress you know. If your 100% happy not crazy at all!!
