Default 6 month old refuses bottles. Any tips?

DS2 ( 3rd bub) is fully breastfed as were the other two however the others refused all bottles of EBM and formula and it became a huge PITA in the end as I feed until they are quite old. Anyway I've left it a bit too long but tried to give DS a bottle and he ie so not interested! Can anyone give me some tips? I'm using Avent bottles and S26 and its like initially he doesn't know what to do with the teat in his mouth and then he gets upset it's not a nipple. Can't remember the name but are those nipple looking bottles better?

We introduced formula at 5 months and my daughter hated S26 and wouldn't drink formula out of Avent bottles (but would drink EBM out of them!). After alot of trial and error, we had success with Closer to Nature bottles and Heinz Nurture formula. Good luck!

Have you tried having someone else feed him when you are not in the room? Don't let him see you or hear you until he has had a decent chance to take the bottle, but don't leave him so long that he is overly distressed either. It's a fine line to walk.
I just weaned my young one cause he's lactose intolerant. It was hard to watch other people (even his dad or sisters) feed him, but it was the only way he would take the bottle at first.

Yep as pp said try someone else feeding him.
Or try pigeon bottles. They are very soft and move like breastfeeding. .. Or a similar slim line neck bottle.
You could try putting him in the bouncer or similar. . sometimes a different position helps. Have you tried mixing some formula and ebm? That might help taste.

My bubby takes ebm happily from closer to nature bottles, though he does prefer boob!
