    The first post you wrote was so eloquent and heartfelt...I'd be slightly re-wording it (ie, 'you' instead of 'my dh' etc) and emailing it to him...maybe when you get to your family's place for the weekend.

    I'm SURE your Dh isn't an a***hole, just as you said...but, I think it's also really important not to underestimate the pain, hurt and neglect you are experiencing in your marriage. This is not a new issue for him, you guys have talked about this a lot and you've even been to counselling about it. I wonder if he does this because he thinks he can get away with it and that you will just tolerate it?
