    Default Started my own business!

Today I will be launching my very first business! I am slightly petrified as I have invested nearly $2000 in it and wondering if I will at all be successful! I am a stay at home mum and have started selling (text removed by moderator) I am just finishing up my website as speak and hopefully be launched by lunch time.
I am taking a big risk and invested a lot of money. Any tips on how to be a successful business owner? This is my very first time!

Mod note: I am on phone so can't leave edit details but please see forum rules re business promotion. Nomsie.

Snappy customer service and speedy delivery are paramount to any new retail business, also the way and speed which you resolve problems. Sending little surprises with each delivery helps too!

As above and don't be rude to your customers. I know it sounds obvious but I asked a question once to a fb business person about the item I purchased and she was very very rude back. I will never buy from her again.

Thanks guys! Yes customer service is extremely important to me! I am packaging them in beautiful organza bags and writing a personalised note in each. Thanks Dave.(text removed by moderator)Sent from my GT-I9305 using The Bub Hub mobile app

If you are only supplementing your income you should do fine, if you are looking to replace an income I think you may need to look at branching out to a larger range of things

I hope it goes well ... I have run a small business too

    Hi all,

AS you can see, this thread has undergone a bit of heavy-handed moderation- apologies to all.

Please refer to the BH forum rules regarding business promotion before continuing- specifically:

    No Advertising or promotion
    That means not:
    • advertising websites or business services (in which you have an interest) in any way shape or form, including:
o text or links in your signature, username or avatar
      o sending promotional/advertising personal messages
o advertising in posts (including party plan, Tupperware businesses, self-promotion, etc.)
    • attempting to buy/sell goods except in the official trading area
If you would like to promote a business service to your viewers, please view our advertising options page.

We understand that you are happy to recommend services and products to each other and that’s okay, but promoting a service or product when you have a business or family / friend interest in that service or product is not okay.
Unfortunately, this also means that you cannot mention what your business provides or offers.

Full rules can be found here

    Thanks
