I love Singapore but only for a short time, it's tiny and stinking hot!! Once you've seen the zoo and maybe a few other things the only thing left is shopping. Another option though could be doing a cruise from Singapore through Malaysia, kids clubs, loads of activities and a new port each day, lots for kids and adults including the occasional on board baby sitter for a night out

Singapore - we stayed at the Shangrila Rasa Resort on Sentosa. Its a bit away from the city ... but taxi's are cheap

BUT - they have an amazing resort - a FANTASTIC kids club that DD just loved, and lots of things for the kids to do.

Is away from Universal Studios / resort world - but there is a free local bus that takes you over there that goes all the time.

Gold Coast - definitely Paradise Resort. For families its awesome

Oh no is it really busy at Chinese New Year? We booked for jan 30th for a week expecting to avoid the school holiday rush, but new year is the 31st

    sorry to crash op!

turtle beach resort is pretty good! We will be going to seaworld, dreamworlds and white water world (possibly movie world too) with a nearly 7yo, 3.5yo and an almost 1yo

Oooh that's food for thought! I think I could definitely handle a cruise...

These were two of the places that I was looking at! The Shangri La rosa looks so lovely.

No worries at all! I was looking at Turtle Beach and the Sea World resort. I don't know if my older kids will be up to big rides...they are farm kids who think an escalator is awesome sauce! But they'd love to see cartoon characters and dolphins etc..

I've been to Singapore during Chinese New Year and it wasn't bad at all.

You will find the more family friendly accommodation is on Sentosa but they are also a little on the pricier side. We have stayed at The Festive and The Hard Rock looks good. Friends have stayed at The Shang-Ri La and thought it great for families.
