    Hi @Blossompossum!

Well what an adventure I have been on. Bleeding stopped, then on Sunday made an appearance. Then stopped again and started after I walked from car park to work yesterday but had settled again by lunch.

I started to get pains /cramping before the night was out so ended up in the emergency department last night. Another blood test has seen my hcg rise to 266. They're concerned that it might be an ectopic preg; so ordered ultrasound for this morning , hcg is too low to see and they can't see a pregnancy in there still ;(

The concern now is that my hcg is rising but not in a normal manner so having repeat bloods taken fri and Monday. Back to the specialist on Monday to follow up but it's not looking good

    Prune coloured bleeding??
    I have all colours.

The emergency docs and obstetrician today both think its too early to be able to make a call on it - but I'm confused as its been 3 weeks of blood teats now. My last period was 26/8 - so they tell me if I was pregnant i would only be 4 weeks 2 days today.

The bit about that that confuses me is that if that's the case then I would have maybe tested exactly 1 week after conception, and got a positive. I have never heard of a situation where someone has successfully tested at 1 week pregnant?

So now I do not hold out much hope.

I also forgot to mention that on the u/s they found 22 or 25 follicles on the right ovary and a 4.7cm cyst and other smaller cysts on the left ovary.... Given I've been having a dull ache type pain mainly on the right side I'm not sure if its ectopic or it's pain from ovary issues.

I am trying to tell myself it's over and I should just give up, but I keep reading of hcg doing remarkable things.... And I think I'm holding a glimmer of hope.

    Well, today I learnt little...

My hcg levels are still rising but not as expected...

    Week 1- 21
    Week 2- 91
    Week 3 (Tuesday)- 266
    Week 3 (Friday)- 359
    Week 4 (Monday)- 574...

They are still rising - far from doubling. My internal revealed my cervix is closed and no more bleeding is evident...

I require follow up bloods Wednesday and Friday.

I am now cramping, rang hospital who confirmed this is normal after internal...and to rest...

They have a theory that I had a twin pregnancy and one viable pregnancy remains and I lost a twin. It is still too early to show anything on ultrasound and what they suspect is in theory only...

Back tomorrow for more blood tests, but a tiny bit of spotting just once when I went to the loo at work today.

I still feel like this could go either way, it's so scary!

Goodluck, crossing my fingers for you. I bleed 3 times with my first pregnancy (6wks, 12wks & 13wks) and my DD is now a happy healthy toddler, but it is very stressful. I hope ur next scan shows a healthy little jellybean, take care

    So...

My hcg today was only 763. Still not rising like it should be and still no pain, no bleeding. Back for an ultrasound this afternoon and return to doctor after that.

    *praying for a miracle*

Thinking of you, everything will be a happy outcome (just remember - they start stressing you out from the minute of conception, and it never ends, so good to get used to it I guess :P )
