Default Top loader that uses front loader liquid but brought top loader liquid by accident

Ok so we have had our new fandangled washing machine for a few months now and it is a Samsung Top Loader but we were told it uses front loader liquid, so have been using front loader liquid.

But in a daze while shopping remembering i put the clothes in the top of my washing machine i brought top loader liquid, now i brought a big bottle so don't want to waste it and go buy another one, so does anyone know if i can just use like half the normal amount or do i double it or do i just use as normal so i can use up this bottle. This bottle will last us like 2 months as we only do 2 loads a week.

Pretty sure top loader liquid/powder creates more suds than front loader. Used to use top loader powder in my front loader because it was a massive box of expensive stuff and would have been thrown away otherwise and I just used a smaller quantity.
Do you have receipt? If its woolies or big w etc just go and ask to swap it if you haven't started using it

    Yes, half should be fine.

I've done the same, but I didn't notice, put in a normal full scoop and I had suds coming out of the machine! The kids thought it was so funny.
