Very excited! Just Skyped with Eva and she said my dates are fine. So leave here Jan 27. Eva said she has recently been organising DE cycles for a couple of Australian women! She laughed when I told her we were all chatting on line.

Sooty, those cheaper meds are going to help out a lot so thank you for your persistence.

I haven't had any testing for NK cells because I haven't had any miscarriages or chemical pregs but Eva said they can administer the drip for anyone just in case. What are everyone's thoughts on this I don't know a lot about it?

And, how did you choose your photo? I'm thinking of going for one I look particularly good in, is this the right thing to be thinking?!!!

Hi ladies! How exciting that your cycles are all booked in! It'll be here before you know it, especially with Christmas to take up some time!

Kheeki, on sending photos I had some good advice. Send a photo of you when you were about 21-25 as this is the age range of your donor. That made sense to me.

DH and I ALWAYS had a plan B. For us it was an emotional safety net and my psychologist who I saw a few times who specialised in fertility counselling said that it's really a good idea to have one! We had also completed stage one of an international adoption, which was to attend an information session (run twice a year) and receive paper work. Then at any stage if we needed to we could just lodge the paperwork with the $700 admin fee That's a lot of admin!

Actually one of these sessions is why we decided to pursue DE. We were looking at a minimum of $50k and 5-10 years wait. We figured we could try at least 4 fresh DE cycles for less than that!

Our backup plan for our last cycle was DE with a surrogate. We had contacted a clinic in India and got all the info and if we needed to we could enact that plan within a few days. We always made sure we had money to fund plan B so we could do it when we felt right about it.

As for meds, I purchased my post transfer meds at the clinic and I really recommend doing this as the prices are much cheaper there. I'm not sure you can get Utrogestan in Australia. It's a total bummer as after the babies were born my husband went through the IVF meds cupboard and ceremoniously threw all of that stuff away. I had some in there along with Crinone that I would have happily passed on. It's disappointing the clinic wont post meds to Australia anymore. My whole cycle meds including the injection was 350 Euro, which was about $450 when I did it!

We never stayed at Tomasov but I have heard it's nice. The glass bathrooms were somewhat unpopular when they first opened! We have always stayed at Pension Uno and I can't recommend them enough. They are just fantastic. It's a family run B&B and you are made to feel so welcome and comfortable. I want to go back to Zlin just so I can stay there again! We had such a magical experience when we were then in April. We came down to breakfast and outside the Uno is open field/woodland type space and we looked out and there was a real wild deer with it's baby! It was incredible!

I'm really excited for all of you

Alice how beautiful. How magical. It must have taken your breath away; who needs a greater inspiration for motherhood then a deer and its baby outside your window?

Your PLan B sounds really solid, and how wonderful that the ole' Plan A came together...maybe the Plan B helped.

I feel quite terrified but strangely definite about it all.

Kheeki what a classic that you told Eva you were talking with us online!!! I love that! What about sending a couple of photos doing some different stuff? When I was looking for donors it was really useful to see a few different images.

Crystal I am not sure yet of my med schedule because we want to wait another week before paying the deposit. I would say my schedule will be very close to yours! We will have to post each other and say 'Done the depot!!!"

Alice you are right; I should have sent younger photos!!! Back then when I was young and spunky! Aaaahhhh I didn't think of that. Instead I sent mature and spunky he...he.... I think I will send more. Poor Eva. 'Ah yet another one of Tiggylig team, look out!'

Ladies I have had a red wine because I in a few weeks or so, no more!

    Happy Saturday nights sweet ladies...

    Love
    TIGHT BITS

PS It seems the general consensus for PLan B's is that they are a positive, so I am glad we have them. My poor partner is hearing nothing but Zlin, Europe, twin talk, exhaustion fears, flight costs and the power of vitrification. He is going to get so over this by Jan. I really like to workshop these things.

    Good Morning Ladies

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!! We got a lot completed this weekend, we got our deposit paid on Friday, booked the hotel we went with Tomasov. I think my hubby too liked the perv value of a glass bathroom. We got our flights booked We leave on Jan 16th and get to Prague on Jan 17th. It worked out way cheaper to book our flight to Prague and then book a return flight to London from Prague. So we'll be back to Prague on January 21st and our first appointment at the clinic will be Jan 22nd, with egg retrieval Jan 23rd.

Not sure whom everyone is booking flights with but we got a return fight Melbourne to Prague with a stop over in Abu Dahbi for $3500. We usually go through Zuji.

Tight Butt, hope you had a great weekend and once you confirm your dates and pay your deposit you'll get your full schedule Exciting can't wait to see if we inject on the same day!!

Kheeki, if you think you may have an immunity issue I would definitely contact Dr.Mathius in Sydney. The problem with having 1 Intrapilid drip is that it would only work for a few weeks. There is a whole protocol of intrapilid drips every few weeks until week 13-16, steroids, and high dosages of progesterone and that's only for NKC. I had no idea I also carried the MTHFR gene mutation which also requires, clexane, prescribed folate, and calcium. If you did have immunity problems you need to be monitored to be treated, Dr.M does phone consultations and he just sent me the forms to have my blood tested here. I'm not trying to be pushy, I just want you to understand that having 1 intrapilid drip wouldn't be enough if you have NKC

Alice, awwww a deer and its baby sounds so sweet Wow the price difference for meds is amazing

Sooty, hope you had a great weekend lovely

Sooty, I just got back from sending the phone off so you should have it tomorrow or Wednesday!!

When you call Gwenyth just let her know your time frame and its only $150 for any consult from here on in  When you speak to Dr.M he'll give you the entire run down of everything and how its treated. he sends all your scripts to you and will monitor you during your pregnancy. Amazing what can be accomplished over the phone I was under the assumption as well that it was 1 intraplid drip but it isn't there is one every few weeks until the pregnancy is well established along with steroids and whatever else he thinks you need.

I'm not sure about the doctor here in Melbourne I will just go to Sydney to have the Intrapilids so Dr.M can do it, DH doesn't want anyone messing with the immunity stuff except Dr.M. Definitely tell Gwenyth your time line though or she won't book you in time to go

    Hi ladies

Crystal I am HANGING to pay the deposit and move forward but DH insists on waiting until his sperm (uch that word!!) results come in because he always thinks something is terribly wrong with him even when he only ever gets normal results. It's nuts but what can I do?

OUr first consult is scheduled for the 23rd of Jan. Eeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!

Love to you all, Kheeki and Sooty May and Alice. Hey Kkeeki and Crystal maybe there aren't that many Aus girls heading to CZ. Maybe we are the January lot and that's it. I want us to be special!!!

Sooty, uuugghghhh Gwenyth can be a pain sometimes that's for sure!! I insisted an appointment be made to get the test results back. When I had my appointment to get my results back I was still missing the sperm antibodies test and she tried to put me off but I wasn't having it I got my results back anyway. Did you say your results were mailed out on Friday? They should have them tomorrow at the latest but there is one particular test that takes about 4 weeks to come back so if she tells you that, tell her ok but you still want an appointment to get the other results so things can start moving!!

Tiggy, My DH had great results until his last one and it came back with 1% morphology so only 1% of his dumb swimmers are of normal shape and size. He's not a drinker, not a smoker so no idea what happened but with ICSI or PICSI they really only need one good swimmer for each egg. He's going next week for a new test to see if things have improved but even if they haven't they can get a few good ones out of the lot. Men hey? T-R-O-U-B-L-E If you have your first consult on Jan 23rd we're a day apart in our cycles!!

Crystal I had to chuckle when I read your post. TROUBLE indeed. And unlike your DH mine drank like a fish as a younger man and now compensates with buckets of horrible beetroot juice and krill oil and herbal remedies mixed with a hundred beers if he goes out on the town. He is a man of extremes to say the least. If I tell him his sperm could be really hopeless by now he will have a complete melt down and not be able to erm...make the...um....deposit.

Sooty May I am so excited for you - and wish we could see you in CZ. YOu are setting off so soon; please keep us in the loop while you are away. That's crazy how your DH lost so much money; that alone could effect a man's sperm! You know how fragile they can be....

Hey I sent another photo of me as a twenty one year old to Eva. Silly me I am sure. My DH photo shopped my girl friend out of the pic so I am kind of leaning on nothing. Eva will surely roll her eyes.

Have you ladies got dream baby names?

Love and babydust to us all; warriors on the mother front.

    Morning lovely ladies

I hope no one blew away last night. That was some wild winds!!

Our doctor put DH on Menevit for his swimmers, not sure if it helped we'll find out when he does his sample. if its still not great I'll have to hear about it for months, why is it we suck it up with our fertility problems and men fall apart

Oh I'm not sure this was the correct thing to do but I noticed that they use egg donors aged 18-35, so on my donor preferences I asked the donor be 25 or under if possible, I felt a bit bad when I requested it but it would be my luck to get the 35 year old donor. The only things I requested was blondish hair, fair complexion, blue or green eyes O+ blood type and healthy oh yes and under 25.

Tiggy, My DH has always wanted to visit Poland, so hopefully someday soon we'll get there as well.

Oh wow I would be so upset!!!! I understand why your frustrated, that just isn't ok. She should understand that many of the women that seek out the help of Dr.M have gone through years of infertility and multiple losses. One would think she wouldn't want to add even more stress to the situation.

Did you get the business card in the mail with his email, fax and phone number? I would honestly email him, your right it may go through Gwenyth but maybe she'll get the hint this needs to be taken care of quickly
