Omg this auto correct makes me sound like I have horrible English or I can't spell sorry ladies

Alice I keep meaning to tell you Brooke was accepted for her uni course at Melbourne University !!!!!!!! She couldn't take Lit though because it interfered with her year 12 schedule so she's taking the history of philosophy. She's excited beyond words which brought me an odd thought. I did not like school or studying and mostly went to be social and see friends, and I definately was not an over achiever. Brooke thrives on learning, reading and over achieving. She couldn't be more different them me and she is my biological child. It really goes to show that genetics or not we're all meant to have our own personalities and ways about us!!!

Tiggy - all perfectly normal I would think. My stuff is more around the 'how will I cope if it doesn't work' which is something I need to keep in mind all the time. What we're doing is huge and I think there'd be something wrong if huge moments and days of anxiety didn't hit. Are you still there when I arrive on 28th?

Crystal - when do you head to Zlin? Have you had any jet lag and have your cankles gone down!

Kheeki and Crystal thank you sooooo much, you have really helped. YOur messages were sweet and kind. I am quietly a mess, but will make it to the plane. Kheeki, yes I will be there on the 28th - it's my transfer day, then I will chill out and leave on the 30th. Ladies, you know where I am staying, feel free to leave me any messages, you know my name! and I can get in touch. That's if I don't see you at the clinic. Eeeeeeekkkkkkkk xxx

Crystal, that's so great to hear!!! Say "congratulations from that lady on the internet you don't know" to her from me!

Tiggy, you'll be fine! You can't live your whole life worrying and not doing anything because of the small chance that something bad could happen. I'm going to say the worst of summer is over. If anything happens to your house I'll come and help you fix it. One thing I can say is that when you are pregnant you are probably not going to like that kid very much, making you feel sick, having puffy legs etc etc but when they are born, remember how you felt about your son, because THAT is how you will feel!

    Relax and enjoy your holiday!
When you get to Uno just set up a chair and gaze out of that big window, you'll know what I'm talking about!
Did I tell you we saw deer grazing one morning in the fields next door!

Apples I do agree with Tiggy, you might be thinking it over just a bit too much. When it comes down to it with IVF, you could have the clinic with the best stats in the world, the worlds best IVF experts, a donor who's proven five times over and the cycle will still fail.
Yes, Zlin doesn't do as many DE cycles as other Czech clinics but 301 in 2011, that's over 5 cycles a week. Try finding an Australian clinic that does 5 DE cycles every week of the year.
There does come a point where you do need to say ok, everyone is equal, what does the heart say? This is an emotional process too, you're having a child.

As for DE cycle schedules, most clinics try to have their DE schedules on the same day, e.g. retrieval and man day on a Thursday, transfer on Monday. This makes it easy to plan for travel etc however they do like people to be aware things could change by a day or two as a donor might need more or less stimming etc.
Be wary of upselling clinics, if you haven't been told to use PICSI and they push it then don't use that clinic. If they only want to do a 3 day transfer but you want 5 then don't use that clinic.
I can say one awesome thing for the Zlin clinic and that is for my second cycle my specialist back home wanted some changes to the protocol and Zlin said 'yes, no problem'.
I hope you make your decision soon, your poor little head must be about to explode with all the stats! When you do you can actually start the fun part of planning your trip!

    ETA: Things stats don't show:
The funny nurse holding your hand during transfer and cracking jokes to make you relaxed and comfortable, the friendly nurses and doctors making genuine conversation to make sure you are happy and comfortable. The soooo lovely inn keepers who know you're doing IVF, like lots of their other customers, so take extra special care of you. Being in a smaller town where you can meet other IVF tourists and make friends and supports to help you through your cycle and spend time with.
Being happy and relaxed is a big contributor to a successful cycle. Try not to make your decision so clinical.
