Default Bowel movements after csection - TMI

I had to have an emergency csection 1 week ago. I was able to have a #2 4 days after surgery and then the next night also. Since then I've had increasingly runny stools. The last was black and pretty much water. Has anyone else experienced this because its really freaking me out!

As a nurse, black would generally indicate old blood unless you are along iron supplements.
Are you taking anything to help you go? If so the fact that you are having watery #2 means you could really cut back.

I'm on ferrograd (iron supplement), voltaren for anti-inflammetory and then Panadol every now and again for pain

The ferrograd is making the dark colour, the voltaren is giving you the runs. I had to stop taking voltaren on day 2 after csection as I got the worst diarrhoea! It is relaxing your muscles too much, see if you can stop taking it, if you are still in so much pain maybe speak to your doc about a higher strength panadeine?

Unless you are severely iron deficient I would probably move onto a gentler iron supplement like floradix because when you stop taking the voltaren you are going to end up constipated.

    So much fun hey?

Im not really in much pain at all. I only bought the voltaren cause the MW who visited me at home said I had to for the anti-inflammatory...

You don't have to take anything you don't feel the need to

Stop taking the voltaren. I had no pain relief once I got home other than the odd Panadol when I got sore from getting up and down all night.
Take care of yourself, plenty of water is essential.
