    Default Permenant birth control

    Hi,
I am interested to hear from other women who have had the essure procedure. The good vs the bad and what state you live in.
    Was there a cost involved?
    Thanks

    What is it?
DH got the snip 2 weeks ago. That's pretty permanent!

It is a non surgical procedure which involves inserting two coils into the Fallopian tubes. Which cause scaring and eventually blocking off the tubes. So kinda like getting tubes tied without tying them.
We discussed hubby getting the snip but he chickened out!

I think there is risk of ectopic pregnancy with this one?

Vasectomy has far fewer risks involved than any of the permanent female sterilization procedures. "Chickening out" is a poor excuse so you should really get hubby to talk to a doctor with you about options for both of you.

Our permanent birth control will be hubby having the snip. He chickens out and we never DTD again.
