    90g butter
    Tiny pinch of salt

Combine cubed butter with flour and salt and rub it all together with your fingers until its like breadcrumbs. Then add the milk and use a butter knife to mix together. Then knead and roll out to a rectangle, cover with whatever filling (I used homemade pizza sauce, chopped bacon that I cooked first in the pan, and cheese) and roll so it's a long log shape. Then slice into pieces about 2-3cm thick and bake for about 15-20mins at around 190/200C (depending on your oven).

They're quick and easy to make (unless you have a toddler 'helper' like I did!) and lots of variations. I've made cheese & spinach before and ham & pineapple.
Really want to make these! Although I have ricotta that I want to use up (no spinach) any ideas how??

I think pea and ricotta is a nice flavour, but really you could do any flavour. Maybe even sweet - apple, cinnamon and ricotta?

We're all sick with head colds so it's been pretty lazy here.

Last night was store bought minestrone soup with fresh bread. She refused to eat the soup and ended up having baked beans instead. Oh well.

Tonight I made a pasta sauce with pasata, bacon, onion, capsicum, garlic and finely chopped broccoli but left out the chilli in DDs. She loved it, pasta is always a winner.

(the pic is mine, I didn't get a shot of hers before it was all over her & the table!)

Homemade fish and chips for lunch today. I don't cook fish often and need to do it more often. Went past the fish shop today so thought I'd give it a shot!

DD ate half the fish and, of course, all her chips. At least they're homemade and not smothered in salt!
