I haven't eaten meat since I was 12 (1997), not quite as long as you but I can't really recall flavours and textures either.
Have you tried the Frys pies? They are vegan and so much more full of flavour.

We will have favourites from each range. Fry's, the chicken style strips and the nuggets. Quorn, most of it but not the fillets or the plain schnitzels. Linda McCartney, the leek, onion and cheese plaits and the sausage rolls.

This is tonights dinner. It's DHs portion but DS has the same minus the corn. It's lentil cottage pie.1380447205573.jpg

I've had them a long time ago, I can't remember what they are like. Pies are not something I would normally buy as I'm not a big fan of pastry not to mention all the butter/fat that used in pastry (my never ending weight battle )

I'm going to have to try some now. mmmmmmmmmmm

I was so excited when I saw LM food in Australia (which was only a few months ago). I lived in the UK for 8 years and there are HEAPS of veggie options including LM food. You can even get heinz baked beans with veggie sausages in a tin!

I can relate with weight issue. The pies are only an occasional treat here as well. I'll only buy them when they are on special too as they are so expensive.

Baked beans with veggie sausages! How cool! I've always been envious of all the vegie stuff available overseas. Australia needs to get with the times.. although I spose we are getting there slowly.

This is the recipe I use http://www.bestrecipes.com.au/recipe...pie-L4676.html. I use Spring Gully worcestershire sauce because it's vegan. I make a lot of cheap but tastey things.

Part of DD's morning tea, trying to use up everything in the freezer so toasted a garlic and herb wrap in the grill and called them chips. She has asked to have them for dinner too lol.
